Thank you John for saving a place that was always in everyone's family photograph album as we went through all of our celebrations growing up! I hadn't been in for a few years anyhow...We just kind of happened by last nite out of a last resort and I'm so glad!! John has somehow 'Kept the Ghost Alive?' Yet gave it a drink from the fountain of youth? The food is like Bobby's old man and mom, but even better than when I was a kid! The sauce.. the pate'.. John has added freshness and higher quality meat and fish etc... to a lot of the old menu items.. And definitely his own professional touch and recipes.
We just had a great dining experience at Massie's this evening, my only regret is that we hadn't been in sooner! Everything is made with fresh ingredients; from the awesome garlic bread, relish tray, soup, salad and the steamers for an appetizer we couldn't have chosen a better spot for dinner and the Fra Diavlo was right on point!!! More food than my husband and I could possibly finish so looking forward to lunch tomorrow. If you haven't been in yet you're missing out. I know we'll be back
We are so pleased that Massie's has a great young chef at the helm. We've been coming here for years on our trips to the area and Chef John has done a wonderful job renovating the dining rooms and especially the bar area. So bright and inviting. He's also a fabulous chef. All his dishes are amazing and he doesn't skimp on the portions. Come hungry. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient and do a great job. A really great lace to eat!

We used to go to Massie's all the time years ago, but the place was unkept and the food quality was lacking so I hadn't been in 15 years or so. Last night we had dinner there knowing it had a new owner with a fresh approach to the business. The whole experience was awesome. We sat in the old dining room section. The food was great, the service was phenomenal. They had all the old favorites and some new items as well. Great local craft beers as well. Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed dinner. I can't wait to go back.
